The Merry Go Round

Don't worry they said...

It will be fun they said...

Why did I have to listen? Now look at me, going round and round on this big piece of metal, pretending I'm on a horse.

Why can't I be on a real live one, galloping through the fields, on a fresh summer's day?

Forests on the one side of us, filled with creatures, I find very scary. Even the horse can feel it, so he moves even faster.

A lake on the other side, filled with fish, frogs and swans. Enjoying the sun and having a fun splash. If only it was real.

It feels as though this ride will never end, and I can't feel my bum.
There are also these butterflies in my tummy, making me feel sick.

I know they all think I'm enjoying this, because of the smile on my face. Little do they know, they're all smiling at me, so in turn I'm smiling back

Lynette, A merry-go-round is both artificial and real and you have captured that well in your piece.

I would like to see you use more metaphor and keep me guessing a bit more
