Proudly Death
Like water you spill me
and sun you dry me.
The warmth of tears that
run down my cheeks
warm me, from the cold
your heart gave to me.
Smash me, the stone that
strength has in me
and pain you give me.
Rip my dignity and humanity.
Blood-suck me and bat-scare me.
Turn this body into ice,
freeze me, make me a machine, use me.
With hawk eyes you watch me.
You traitor my heart and belong me.
Like storm clouds you hide me
with words you soften me
your weight of being you burden
you cement me and harden my soul
with your touch you close my eyes
and in you I am gone!!

Some
powerful similes and metaphors that really grabbed my attention: Like water you spill me bat-scare me But there
are a couple of things that I really do not understand – maybe you need to
clarify a bit – just check that you haven’t left out some words, maybe? Have
a look at: Smash me, the stone that and: You traitor my heart and belong
me. and: your weight of being you burden |

It’s a powerful poem. It moved me
coz I know where the writer is coming from. It is truly beautiful. |
