Sometimes

Sometimes life gets on top of me
I can't just let it be
I must fight to stay on top
But where does the will come from?

I must believe in myself
I must believe in who made me
But I have forgotten
How to believe in myself

I have not forgotten who made me
But does He remember me
When last did I speak to Him?
asked Him to forgive my sin?

Sometimes when times are hard
I need a friend who would not part,
who would remind me of my Father
who will always be my Father.

I will believe again
that no matter what the pain
I will be in the good hands of my Father
who never forgets His children.
