Tears
Tears, the expression of emotions without control
Tears, the freedom of a compressed agony
Tears, the sign of an unbearable pain
Tears, the truthfulness of hidden sorrow
Tears, the remedy for a troubled mind
Tears, the depth of an unforgettable betrayal
Tears, the joyous scream of a dream come true
Tears, the tenderness and happiness of a vindicated prisoner
Tears, the evidence of true suffering
Tears, the unconditional force of an impulse
Tears, the purity of feelings within
Tears, the raindrop of the eyes
Tears, the innocence of a child
Tears remind us of how weak we are.

Someone once told me, when I was crying
and apologised: “Never mind – tears wash the windows of the soul.” |
